What it does

A slow WooCommerce store usually has many small causes: big images, plugins that load on every page, no caching, fonts fetched from other sites. A speed report lists dozens of warnings, and it's hard to know which ones matter. Stores also get fast, then slow down again as new plugins and promotions pile up. The first step splits the report into real-user data and the lab test, reads mobile first, and names what is causing the slow parts. The second puts the fixes in the order to do them: a baseline, images, plugins, extra scripts, fonts, compression and caching, a CDN, and only then questions for your host. The third sets limits for page weight, mobile score and outside scripts, a test routine, and a checklist before a big sale.

  1. Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
  2. Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
  3. Run PageSpeed on mobile for three pages, three times each, and paste the results. List your plugins and host.
  4. Make the fixes on a staging copy first, and run the report again after each change.
  5. Put the budget somewhere your team will see it, and test after every new plugin.
