What it does
A sale can look great in your ad report and still lose money. A buyer who came in on a weak angle, took a deep discount, then refunded, counts as a win for return on ad spend (ROAS) and a loss for your bank account. Most stores only find out months later. This skill ranks customers by gross profit over a fixed window, then compares the best fifth with the worst fifth. For each group it finds who they are, which angle they came in on and which first-order offer they took. It also splits customers by discount code, because in the source's client mix discounted buyers often turned out worse. The result tells you which angles to scale, which offers to stop and which product page promises to fix. It adds to the best customer finder, which only finds the top group.
You give it
- Your order export: customer, order date, order value, discount code, refund or return flag, cost of goods
- First-order source, campaign or ad angle, if you track it (optional)
- Post-purchase survey answers (optional)
- Support ticket reasons (optional)
- Customer words (optional)
You get
- The top 20 percent and bottom 20 percent of customers by profit, with the traits of each
- The angle and first-order offer behind each group, and repeat rate and 90-day profit for discounted versus full-price first orders
- Angles to scale, angles and offers to stop, and page promises to fix
- An acquisition fit score out of 100, with what it measures and the sum
Use it when
- Your ads show a strong ROAS but repeat orders and profit are weak.
- You run big sales and want to know if those buyers ever come back.
- You are about to move ad budget and want the buyers you want more of to guide it.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Export your orders for a window that is at least 90 days old, and attach the file.
- Add your first-order source or ad angle for each customer, even if it is rough, and say which discount codes you ran.
- Read the data limits first, then the two groups. Test any change with a small ad test before you move big spend.
Workflows that use it
- Build a VIP program for your best customers
- Find why good orders turn into bad reviews
- Monthly repeat customer review
