What it does
Most writing plans fail for the same reasons. The time is vague, the session has no end, and every draft gets judged while it is still being made. So the work feels heavy and gets skipped. This skill fixes those three things. It picks one place and one start time, with nothing else allowed during the session. It sets an end time, so stopping on time is the reward. It splits each piece into two passes: a loose first draft of about half a page, then a rewrite on a later day, line by line, tuned for how it sounds when read aloud. It also sets up an idea file, a small notebook and a log of hours, so you can see your progress.
You give it
- What you write (essays, scripts, a book, posts) and who it is for
- The days you can sit down and how long each session can be
- Where you usually write and what distracts you (optional)
- Pieces you have already started (optional)
You get
- A session plan: place, start time, end time and the one rule for the hour
- A two-pass routine: draft day and rewrite day
- An idea file layout and a pocket notebook habit
- A way to test pieces on real people and a simple hours log
Use it when
- You want to write every day and keep missing days.
- You have a pile of ideas and no routine that turns them into pages.
- You write in bursts, burn out, and want a steadier pace.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Say what you write and who it is for.
- List the days and hours you can really protect, even if it is only 30 minutes.
- Run the plan for two weeks without changing it.
- Bring back your hours log and the pieces you tested, and ask it to adjust the plan.
