What it does
There are three ways to grow revenue: win more customers, raise the average sale, or get each customer to buy more often. Most plans focus on the first, which is usually the most costly. Yet a modest gain in each lever multiplies, not adds. A 10% gain in all three is a 33% gain in revenue, not 30%. This skill lists your numbers, models a modest gain in each lever and multiplies them. It then maps every way money comes in and every step from first contact to repeat buyer, so it can find the cheapest lever to pull. It checks how people who did not buy could still be served at a profit, and ends by choosing one lever and one test with a measure and a date. It lists missing numbers, and never guesses them.
You give it
- A performance sheet with customers, orders, revenue and repeat rate (required)
- Your cost to win a new customer (optional but needed for a firm answer)
- Product or price facts (optional)
- Ways money comes in today, such as products, services and add-ons (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
You get
- Your numbers laid out for each lever
- A modest gain modelled in each lever and the multiplied result
- A map of the steps from lead to repeat buyer, with the weakest points
- One lever and one test with a measure and a date
Use it when
- You want to grow and do not know whether to chase new customers, bigger sales or repeat orders.
- Your ad costs are rising and you want a cheaper source of growth.
- You are setting next quarter's plan and need numbers behind your choice.
