What it does
A true story of change often reads as a pile of events. The reader cannot tell what mattered, so the story never lands. A shape helps, but a shape forced onto the facts makes a story that rings false. This skill lists the facts first, in order, and marks each one. It looks for the call (what pulled the person out of the old life, and whether they chose it, stumbled into it or were pushed), the threshold where the old world ended, the trial or low point and what was lost in it, what the person took in, and what they brought back for others. It builds a map from your facts only. Where the facts show fewer stages, it leaves the others out and says so.
You give it
- The true facts, in any order: what happened, when, and what it cost
- Who the story is for
- How you want to use it (page, talk, post) (optional)
- Anything you do not want mentioned (optional)
You get
- The facts in order, each marked
- A map of call, threshold, trial, change and return
- A note on where the story is thin or forced
- A short draft built only from the map
Use it when
- You are writing a founder story, an about page or a talk and the facts feel flat.
- You want to tell a personal change in a way a stranger will follow.
- You have a project history and need the one story inside it.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the facts as plain notes. Do not polish them first.
- Say who will read or hear the story.
- Read the map and mark any fact it got wrong.
- Ask for the short draft once the map is right.
