What it does
Going into a hard talk with only your own case makes the other side defend theirs. They also answer yes just to end the talk, and then nothing happens. This skill plans the first ten minutes around them. It lists what they may assume about you and opens by saying it. It writes feeling labels as statements and questions that start with how or what. It adds a question where no is a safe answer, and a test for a yes that comes too fast. It ends with the facts you still need before you concede anything. Labels are short statements of a feeling you expect, such as "It seems like time is tight."
