What it does
Most people think a good conversation means being interesting. The person across from you is usually thinking about themselves, and they remember the people who showed an interest in them. Talking more rarely helps. This skill plans the talk so that the other person does most of it. It plans the first ten seconds, including their name said right and a warm greeting you mean. It writes open questions in three layers: how they started, what they treasure and what is going on now. It sets listening rules and plans where to stay quiet. It also plans where to give a short sign that you heard, and chooses two true appreciations to say at the right moments. If you have an ask, it puts it in terms of what it does for them. It plans a close that ends while they still want more.
