What it does
An ad shown to the same thirty thousand people three times a week reaches fewer minds than an ad shown once to ninety thousand. For a product that many people buy, the first is a poor use of money, because the ad only works on those who have heard it. This skill works from unique people, not views. It lists where you reach people, how many different people each place reaches, and what each costs. It works out what share of your likely buyers you reach now. It then ranks the next purchases by new people per unit of money, and only adds repeats once you reach most of the pool. It first checks that the ad is worth spreading: if it does not deliver its claim, more reach is money wasted. It also tells you when this rule does not suit your product.
You give it
- Your channels and what you spend on each
- How many different people each one reaches, if you know
- How many people could buy your product
- A recall and pull report on the ad (advised)
- Your results (optional)
You get
- The share of your buyers you reach now
- A ranked list of where the next money reaches the most new people
- The point where repeats should start
- A check on whether the ad is ready to be spread
Use it when
- You run your ad in one place a lot and want to know if you should spread it.
- Your reports show impressions and frequency but not unique people.
- You are about to spend more and want it to reach people who have not seen the ad.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your channel list with spend and the unique people each one reaches.
- Say how many people could buy. If unsure, give a range.
- Ask the platforms for unique reach, not impressions, if you do not have it.
