What it does
A winning ad fades for one of two reasons. People have seen it too often, or the audience it reaches is too small. Most owners kill it and start again, which throws away a body that already earned its spend. Others push daily spend harder, which shortens the ad's life. These steps keep the body and change the opening. First it reads the life of the ad, names the cause, picks a pace that fits your stock and cash, and writes the new hook briefs. Then it scores each hook out of 100 and picks what to film. You film the top ones and run them for about a week. After that it counts which ones cleared your return line and saves what the winners share, so the next revival starts from it.
You give it
- The ad's spend and return by week since launch (frequency and audience size too, if you can see them)
- The transcript of the ad
- The hooks you have already used (optional)
- Who the ad speaks to, in a line or two
- A sheet of your other ads with spend and results (optional, for the hit rate)
- A video ad script (optional)
- Ad breakdowns (optional)
You get
- The cause of the fade, how much life the ad has left, and a pace that fits your stock and cash
- Ten or more new hook briefs on the same body, each scored out of 100 with a film, fix or cut call
- A hit rate showing how many of your ads cleared your return line, and which ideas to keep making
- A hook rubric of your winners, with fill-in-the-blank hook templates
Use it when
- Your best ad costs more every week and its return is falling, but you do not want to rebuild it from scratch.
- One ad takes more than half of your ad spend, and you want a replacement ready before it fades.
- You have a few strong ads and want to know what their openers have in common.
Steps
- Fatigued ad reviver: Give it a fading winner's numbers. Get the cause, ranked revival moves and 10 hook briefs.
- Video hook scorer: Paste your video hooks and who sees them. Get each scored out of 100, with rewrites.
- Ad testing success rate planner: Share an ad export. Calculate how often new concepts meet your profit target and identify ideas to develop.
- Video hook review checklist: Paste your top ads and a rival's. Get a hook rubric from the winners and your drafts graded.
How to use it
- Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
- Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
- Paste the ad's weekly spend and return, and its transcript. Add your stock and cash position, so it picks the right pace.
- After the hook scores, film the top hooks on the old body and run them for about a week. Then export the results.
- Give it the results and your own break-even return. It counts the winners and builds the rubric.
