What it does
Scenes go dead when people take turns telling the reader what they feel and what happened before. The same fault shows up in sales scripts, training role plays and video dialogue, where two people share facts but nobody is trying to get anything. This skill starts by stating what each person wants in the scene and who or what blocks them. It opens on an event or a question, not on background. It gives each speaker a different tactic, such as pleading, joking, dodging or pressing. It marks what the audience knows that a character does not, so the gap does some work. One speech ends in a decision that changes the next scene, and the turn is placed late. You get the rewrite and a note for reading it aloud.
You give it
- The scene or dialogue as it stands
- Who is in it and what happens just before and after (optional)
You get
- A short table of what each speaker wants, who blocks them and their tactic
- A rewritten scene
- A note on what the audience knows that a character does not
- A read-aloud check
Use it when
- A scene or script is full of characters explaining things to each other.
- Two speakers in your dialogue sound the same.
- A role play, sketch or video script has facts but no pull.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the scene exactly as it is, even if it is rough.
- Say what must happen by the end of the scene, if you know.
- Read the rewrite aloud with a friend, one voice each. Mark every line where you stumble.
- Ask for a second pass with the marked lines changed.
