What it does

Most people who say they delegate hand over a task, not a result. The other person does not know what good looks like or when to come back to you, so the work returns to your desk, half done. You end up doing it yourself and wondering why you are still the bottleneck. The steps start from your actual week. First it audits where your time goes and picks the work to hand off first. Then it writes a one-page agreement for that job: the results wanted, the limits, the help they get and when you will review. Last it plans the one-on-one meetings around that agreement, so the check-ins are about the result and the work does not creep back.
