What it does
A sale makes your ad numbers lie in two ways. Ads you run in the weeks before it look poor, because buyers click early and buy when the sale opens. And during the sale, the average result looks fine while the last dollars you spend buy almost nothing. Teams then cut the wrong spend or push too far. This skill fixes both. It measures how much revenue arrives late in your own data, so you can adjust early ROAS. Then it builds the sheet on marginal results, meaning what the extra spend bought, with a rule for each day: scale, hold or cut. It adds a base plan and a stretch plan so a push can happen without a late-night call. All source numbers are one agency's examples from one market and year, so you replace them with your own last-year data.
You give it
- Last year's daily ad spend, revenue and orders, by hour if you have it
- 1-day click and 7-day click (or 30-day click) revenue for the 30 days before last year's sale
- Gross margin and discount depth
- Your CAC limit for the sale
- A budget ceiling and a stretch target
- Your question (optional)
You get
- A sheet with a 3-day rolling marginal contribution margin
- A lag multiplier for the days before the sale
- Scale, hold and cut rules
- Base and stretch spend plans
- A calendar from September to late December
Use it when
- A big sale is two to four months away and you want rules written down before it starts.
- Last year's sale looked weak early and strong late, and you want to know how to read that.
- You have a media buyer and 100K or more a month in ad spend, and want pre-agreed rules for pushes and cuts.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Run the sale break-even and CAC allowance modeler first, and bring its break-even ROAS and CAC limit.
- Paste last year's daily spend and revenue, and the 1-day and 7-day click revenue for the 30 days before the sale.
- Check the rules with your media buyer, then put them in a shared sheet before the sale starts.
- After each sale day, add the new numbers and let the sheet say scale, hold or cut.
