What it does
Most stores send the same cart or post-purchase emails to everyone. A first-time visitor needs trust and a reason to buy. A returning customer does not need your brand story, and should not get a discount every time. A loyal customer should hear less sales pressure and more care. This skill splits every triggered flow by customer stage before anything else. New customers get the most direct emails and may get an incentive. Returning customers go straight to what they need. Loyal and subscription customers get the least pushy emails. It then maps your lifecycle groups, lists the flows to build or merge in order of the biggest bottleneck, and hands a flow spec to the email writer skills. It also covers the exceptions, such as browse flows and small lists.
You give it
- A list of your flows, with triggers, number of emails and delays
- How you define never bought, bought once, repeat and VIP
- Whether you run a subscription (optional)
- Your offer rules and margin limits (optional)
- Flow results by flow, if you have them (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
- Your offer (optional)
- Your results (optional)
You get
- A flow map with a new, returning and loyal branch at the top of each flow
- The goal, tone and incentive rule for each branch
- A list of flows to build or merge, in order of the biggest bottleneck
- A flow spec the email writer skills can fill in
Use it when
- Your cart and post-purchase flows send the same emails to first-time and repeat buyers.
- You give a discount to people who would have bought anyway.
- A flow underperforms and you cannot tell which type of customer it is failing.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your list of flows, with triggers and timing, and how you define each customer type.
- Add your discount limits and your margin per product.
- Read the map, then build the branch with the biggest bottleneck first.
- Use the flow spec with the matching flow builder skill to write the emails.
Workflows that use it
- Send reorder emails that fit each buyer, then read results
- Turn the first weeks after an order into repeat buyers
- Win back lapsed buyers and clean out the rest
