What it does

Many product plans fail in two ways. The team builds something nobody wanted, or it keeps a roadmap that is just a list of features with dates. Nobody can say what each feature should change, so nobody can say when it worked. This workflow starts with the idea and rates the four risks: value, usability, feasibility and viability. It names an owner for each and picks the cheapest test for the riskiest one. Then it takes your feature list and turns each item into a problem for a named customer with one result you can measure. The order comes from Marty Cagan's article "The Four Big Risks" and his writing on teams that solve problems instead of shipping features.

Steps

  1. Product idea risk checker: Paste your product idea and what you know. Get the four risks scored out of 100 and the cheapest first test.
  2. Product outcome roadmap planner: Paste your list of features and dates. Get a short list of problems to solve, each with a result to measure.

How to use it

  1. Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
  2. Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
  3. Paste your idea and your feature list. It works step by step and saves each result.
  4. Run the cheapest test on the riskiest risk, then bring back what you learn.
