What it does
Most product ideas fail for one of four reasons. Nobody wants it (value), people can't work it out (usability), you can't build it with what you have (feasibility), or something outside the product vetoes it, such as cost, law or the brand (viability). Teams often check only one, usually whether it can be built. This skill writes the problem in plain words, then asks for the evidence on each risk and marks what is unknown. It names one owner per risk, scores how well the evidence covers each, and finds the riskiest. It writes the cheapest test for that risk, cheaper than building, and the result that would change your plan.
You give it
- The idea, the problem it solves and for whom
- What you already know, such as customer words, tests, costs and limits
- Customer reviews or messages (optional)
- Your brand file, for rules on claims and fit (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
- Customer words (optional)
You get
- Each of the four risks with the evidence, or marked unknown
- A score out of 100 for how well the evidence covers the risks
- A named owner for each risk
- The cheapest test for the riskiest one, and the result that would change your plan
Use it when
- You have an idea and are about to spend weeks or money building it.
- Someone has asked for a feature and you need to decide if it is worth doing.
- A launch went badly and you want to see which risk you skipped.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Describe the idea in plain words and who it is for. Add what you know about each of the four risks.
- Say who on your team would own each risk. Leave blank if you are alone.
- Run the test it names before you build. Bring back the result.
