What it does
Edits often make copy worse. The odd true detail gets cut because it sounds informal, or the whole piece gets rewritten and loses its voice. Meanwhile the real gaps stay: no clear promise, praise words with no fact behind them, a price with its renewal hidden. This skill first points to the sentence that says what the buyer gets. Then it reads the draft three ways. As a skimmer, who sees only headings, first lines and buttons. Line by line, asking if a person would say each sentence. As a doubter about to pay, swapping praise for your facts and checking every price and guarantee. Ads get four more checks, such as an ask that gives the price. Each change goes in a ledger with its gain. A change with no gain is undone.
You give it
- The draft, with each part labelled (headline, main text, button)
- The ad's image, if it's an ad (attach it; your AI can see pictures)
- The facts it may use, such as product facts, approved claims, price and guarantee terms
- Who it's for and their main doubt (optional)
- One specific change you want, if the copy already runs (optional)
- Your voice notes and claims you must never make (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
- Ad copy (optional)
You get
- The one promise, and the claims, terms and details it locked
- The word count, reading grade and longest sentence, before and after
- A ledger of changes, each with the check that found it and what it gains
- Claims to send to a claims check, missing facts, and a one-line verdict
- Any of its six checks (ten for an ad) the edited draft still misses, one line each
Use it when
- You have a draft ad, page, email or script and want an editor's read before it goes out.
- Your copy leans on words like "premium" or "potent", and you want your real facts in their place.
- You need to change one thing in copy that already works, without breaking the rest.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your draft underneath, with each part labelled. Say if it's an ad, and attach the image.
- Paste the facts it may use, including the price, what it renews at and the guarantee wording. It won't add anything beyond them.
- Add one line on who it's for and what makes them hesitate.
- Read the verdict first. If it says the reason to buy is weak, rethink the offer before you polish lines.
- Read the ledger. Undo any change whose gain doesn't convince you.
