What it does
Most marketing plans are a list of things to try. There is no clear target, no position and no reason for the order. Everything looks urgent, so a small team does a bit of all of it and none of it gets a fair test. The steps work like an editor. First your plan is sorted by what each line is for, and the lines that serve no target are marked. Then the rebuilt plan is checked against thirteen tests of how plans work in a buyer's mind, with a score and a fix list, worst first. Last, the wish is rewritten as one goal with a number and a date, each tactic is scored for impact and ease, and the top few get start dates, stop dates and a rule for when each one ends.
